I have been working so much that I wasn't able to post about Christian's events for last week. I was in Madison for work Monday - Wednesday. It's so tough to leave him. I cry for the first 20 miles. I actually contemplated calling my boss and resigning from my new position. But of course, I like my new promotion and really don't want to let it go. I'm hoping I can take Christian with me next time I go to Madison.

Christian has discovered the television. Prior to last week, he never even glanced at the T.V. I think he zoned it out. Then one morning, I put him in his swing while I got ready for work. I put the news on the T.V. He looked over and actually started watching it! "Oh!" I exclaimed and quickly put in a Baby Einstein DVD.
He LOVES his
Taggies blanket. Sheila from work gave us this for my baby shower. He holds onto the little tags, puts them in his mouth, and pulls the whole blanket over his head. It goes everywhere with him, including to daycare.

Christian stands while holding my hands. That is the only support he needs! He is so incredibly strong. I think he'll be sitting by himself before Christmas.
He drools constantly. We think he is going to be getting a tooth soon.
He talks nonstop. I swear he tells everyone his life story. He is so animated and lovely.

While I was in Madison, Richard ran out of breast milk. We had formula on hand just in case. When I returned from Madison on Wednesday, I put him back on breast milk. Thursday, Shannon, our daycare provider, called me because Christian had diarrhea and a little bit of a fever. I had to pick him up from daycare just in case he was coming down with something. I called the clinic to find out if he should come in to get checked out. They were afraid he would get dehydrated, so if he had 10 diarrhea diapers, I should bring him in. At 8 runny diapers, I made an appointment. He went in for his first unscheduled doctor's appointment on Friday. Switching from formula to breast milk upset his stomach, causing the diarrhea. He was going to be fine. The nurse, Jodi, who I have known since the day I found out I was pregnant, was enamored by Christian. He laughed and smiled for her. She showed him off to all the nurses. He babbled all about his day to them. They couldn't get enough of him! He weighs 16 pounds, 1 ounce!

Babies are suppose to double their birth weight at 6 months. Christian did it at less than 3 months!! He's in the 95 percentile for weight.
