Happy Easter

This was the first Easter Christian understood who the Easter Bunny is. Weeks leading up to the Easter Bunny's visit, Christian would talk about how the bunny was going to hide his eggs.

So we did an outside Easter egg hunt on Saturday. And on Sunday we hid eggs along with his basket.

The Easter Bunny brought Christian a Cars race track, a Spiderman action figure, a Woody shirt, books, and candy.

Christian's favorite Easter candy? Jelly Beans. Recent Christian quotes about jelly beans: "I eat jelly beans all the time!" and my favorite: "I am a jelly bean!!"

Imma and Papa came to visit for Easter. Christian was so excited to see his Papa. He has been very sad ever since Papa had to go home and has been struggling with separation anxiety. But I keep telling him we will see Papa again very soon.

Keeping Up with Christian

To my childhood delight, Christian has discovered Big Wheels. The Big Wheel in these pictures actually belongs to our daycare provider, Shannon. We regularly transport it between our houses because Christian believes it belongs to him and he loves it. Richard gave him some old wrenches and Christian pretends to fix it.

We've been trying to find a used one for him.

He loves toy motorcycles. He had his first tantrum at daycare over a toy motorcycle (he didn't want to share).

This is the first year Christian is excited about Easter. He saw the Trix bunny on his yogurt and said, "Mommy! The bunny is going to hide eggs! He's going to bring me treats!" I'm excited about this Easter.
