Christian came home from the hospital on June 24, 2008. He was eagerly greeted by Logger who promptly licked his face. We introduced Christian to the cats, Elvis and Maddy. They only smelled Christian with mild interest.
Thursday, June 26: A nurse stopped by to check on Christian and me. Christian's weight is down to 6 lbs 6 oz. But we finally got a feeding rhythm going, so the nurse isn't concerned. He has a little jaundice on his chest.

Friday, June 27 (Christian's due date!): Christian is circumcised. Our doctor offered to let us watch the procedure, but Richard and I couldn't do it. Even though Christian wouldn't feel any pain, we didn't want to see our son upset. He came out calm and awake. This was also Christian's first doctor's appointment. He's healthy and strong. The heart murmur he was born with is gone. Yeah! Weight: 6 lbs 11 oz
Saturday, June 28: Grandma Mary Jo's birthday. Met Grandpa Swede for the first time. Peed on everything today! Christian was lying on the couch with me when I felt my hip was wet. He peed on me and the couch! Later he hit the changing table twice, our bed, the bassinet, and Mommy & Daddy.
Sunday, June 29: One week old! During tummy time with Daddy, Christian rolled from his belly to his side! He is so strong. He continues to hold his head up by himself.

He is one strong little guy. I love that he's peeing on everything--marking his territory. I guess dogs don't feel compelled to remark people territory... otherwise, Zephyr would re-pee on your whole house.
MISS YOU.
